Friends Helping at Home is an introductory service – matching clients with independent service providers based on needs, preferences, and personalities.

How it works:

When a client gets in touch, the local branch manager takes the time to understand what really matters – from care needs to hobbies and life stories. Because we know our service providers just as well, we can make thoughtful, personalised introductions.

We then arrange a relaxed, no-pressure meeting – usually a friendly chat over a cuppa. If both parties feel it’s a good fit, they choose to work together.

That’s the key: choice.

Clients choose their provider. Providers choose their clients. Together, they decide how the support will work.

It’s a model that’s thriving. From our beginnings in Torquay, we’ve grown across Devon, North Somerset and now England and Wales – with more to come.
