Our franchisees come from diverse backgrounds, with varying levels of experience and expertise. Some are returning to the care sector, while others are completely new to it.

What unites them all is their alignment with our vision and a strong foundation in customer service, along with a set of transferable skills that help them build and grow their business.

We’re looking for highly motivated individuals who want to be part of an ethical business that values every aspect of care. While experience in caregiving is beneficial, it’s not essential—what truly matters is your passion for making a difference.

Management or experience in overseeing staff or operations of a department or business.

Possession of a valid driver’s license.
A clean DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) record.

Optimal franchise owner profiles: 

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to becoming a Friends Helping at Home franchisee. Depending on your experience and goals, you may fall into one of these categories:

  • Graduate: Typically for individuals under 30 who may lack capital but possess a compelling life story that demonstrates motivation, values, and a skill set to manage and grow a new branch with the right guidance and support.  

    Many of our key team members joined us under 30! 

  • Owner Practitioner: Suited for those who enjoy working in their branch, cultivating local networks. They often come from a similar employed role or have made a career change. 
  • Investor Franchise: Geared towards those with the capital to invest and hire a branch manager from the start. They have limited day-to-day involvement, mainly focusing on overseeing the business while aligning with Friends’ vision.

Does having home care result in a loss of independence?

Not at all, sometimes it’s easier to have someone around to do the tasks you don’t want to do, regardless of health or other limitations. The Service Providers we introduce all offer exceptional care services.

What if I don’t like the Service Provider I'm matched with?

You simply book only the Service Providers you like. That’s why we take the time to understand your requirements, hobbies, and personal preferences and then make personal introductions to trusted providers in your area. There’s no pressure or commitment on your part.

How long does it take to find a Service Provider?

It can be a quick as 24 hours!
